21-year-old Ariel Winter and 22-year-old Bella Thorne both got their starts on family-friendly networks (Winter on ABC and Thorne on Disney Channel) and flourished as actresses from there.
At the age of 12 Winter started playing the role of Alex Dunphy (the smart, shy middle child of the Dunphy family) on ‘Modern Family’ in 2009. Meanwhile, Thorne also got her start in acting at the age of 12, when she was offered the role of CeCe Jones (the friendly teen dancer) on hit Disney show ‘Shake It Up’ in 2010.
